Private Markets and Specialized Funds Expand Global Offerings

Hamilton Lane has deepened its partnership with iCapital to distribute evergreen strategies in private equity, infrastructure, and venture capital to wealth managers worldwide. By utilizing the iCapital Marketplace, the firm intends to streamline access for private banks and family offices seeking institutional-quality assets.

Simultaneously, Fortem Capital debuted its Managed Futures Fund, a daily dealing UCITS strategy. Chief Investment Officer Kevin Gray noted the fund prioritizes cost efficiency to address high management fees common in the CTA industry. Meanwhile, KBC Asset Management, supported by the HANetf platform, launched three bluesphere ETFs. These products feature hedging options for Hungarian Forint and Czech Koruna, specifically targeting Central European investors through rules-based methodologies.

On the defensive front, Altana Wealth launched the Altana Downside Protector Fund. Founder Lee Robinson, who previously traded through the 2008 financial crisis, designed the fund to hedge against potential systemic downturns caused by AI capital expenditure and credit market reversals. The strategy utilizes equity options and credit default swaps to offer leveraged protection, with the firm committing significant partner capital to ensure alignment with investors.
