Amundi Targets Asia Expansion with €150 Billion Inflow Goal

Amundi Targets Asia Expansion with €150 Billion Inflow Goal

During a London investor workshop, leadership outlined a strategy to cement the region as the firm’s second home market. Deputy general manager Fannie Wurtz noted that assets in the region have quadrupled since 2015, sustained by consistent wealth accumulation and an aging demographic. To capture this momentum, the firm plans to expand its client base by 50 per cent across both retail and institutional segments by 2028.

Amundi’s roadmap relies on aggressive local scaling through joint ventures and partnerships, particularly in Southeast Asia. The firm intends to increase its regional headcount by 30 per cent to support these efforts and bolster product innovation. CEO of Asia Eddy Wong emphasized that as geopolitical uncertainty persists, regional investors are increasingly prioritizing portfolio diversification, a trend the firm expects to drive long-term institutional interest.
