Simon Davies will assume the chairmanship of VEIL on July 1, 2026, succeeding interim chair Charles Cade. Davies brings a deep background in global banking and law, having previously served as managing partner at Linklaters and as an executive at Lloyds Banking Group. He currently chairs ICBC Standard Bank. Cade, who has led the board since January 2026, will remain with the company as senior independent director to support the ongoing effort to narrow the firm’s share discount and boost investor demand.
Simultaneously, Foster Denovo is undergoing a significant technical transition to support its growth through acquisition. The firm has appointed Aytekin Can as head of data strategy and management information delivery to oversee the creation of a centralized “data lake.” By consolidating legacy systems into a unified repository, the firm intends to streamline back-office operations. Partnering with the specialist firm Palindrome, Foster Denovo plans to deploy agentic AI to refine how its advisors access and analyze client information, a move managing director Helen Lovett described as critical to the company's future efficiency.
