Chris Rabb Wins Philadelphia Primary as 'AIPAC Lost' Chants Erupt

With 92% of the vote counted, Rabb claimed 44.3% of the tally, comfortably outpacing challengers Dr. Ala Stanford and Sharif Street. The victory comes despite a concerted effort by the establishment to derail his campaign. Reports indicate that the 314 Action Fund, which backed Stanford, received $500,000 from AIPAC, while Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro allegedly worked behind the scenes to bolster the opposition.

Rabb, who championed a platform of Medicare for All and universal housing guarantees, framed his win as a rejection of a political status quo that dismissed his viability. “They told me this wasn't possible,” Rabb told supporters during his victory speech. His campaign drew high-profile endorsements from progressive leaders, including Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ro Khanna, and Summer Lee.

Political observers suggest this result signals a shifting mood within the Democratic base. Ryan Grim of Drop Site News noted that AIPAC’s strategy backfired after the group was caught attempting to influence the race through a third-party PAC. Should Rabb prevail in November’s general election in his deep-blue district, he will join a small but influential cohort of democratic socialists in Congress, joining figures like Bernie Sanders and Rashida Tlaib in challenging the party’s traditional power structure.
