Schwartz says his influence on XRP’s price is “very little”

The exchange followed a November 7 post in which Schwartz complained that users were disrupting unrelated conversations on X with fraud accusations, insults and XRP promotions. He said he had begun blocking accounts that did so, whether their messages praised or criticized him. Substantive criticism, he said, was welcome in relevant discussions or in replies to his cryptocurrency posts; people blocked for interrupting other conversations could ask to be reinstated if they stopped.

An investor challenged Schwartz over holders’ frustration and argued that Ripple had allowed unrealistic expectations to persist while influencers promoted ambitious forecasts. The exchange did not identify any specific action by Schwartz that caused XRP’s decline. His remarks addressed his personal influence, not a company policy or a forecast for the token.

XRP’s weekly loss was 7.35% and its monthly decline was 17.17%, according to market data cited in the report. Its market capitalization was about $73.61 billion, ranking it fifth among cryptocurrencies, with roughly $865.6 million in 24-hour trading volume. The token ranged between $1.15 and $1.17; its July 2025 all-time high was $3.65.

Technical indicators also showed continued weakness. The daily Relative Strength Index was 31.24, near the oversold threshold of 30, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence reading was -0.0474. The signal line stood at -0.0387 and the histogram at -0.0087. The report put immediate support near $1.15, with $1.10 in view if prices fell further; a move above $1.20 could bring $1.30 into focus.

Schwartz has previously rejected claims that his comments on XRP liquidity guaranteed a future price, and disputed suggestions that Ripple controlled a mechanism to sharply raise the token’s value. He left day-to-day duties as chief technology officer at the end of 2025.
