The integration could potentially reach around 82 million compatible Galaxy devices in the United States, according to Sui’s Chinese-language account. Samsung Wallet will provide the interface, while Sui processes supported transfers without charging the sender a network fee. The SUI token itself will not be supported at launch.
Sui announced the planned integration on November 5. It follows an October 8 disclosure that named Sui as one of Samsung’s blockchain infrastructure partners alongside Solana. Samsung’s Stablecoin Account service, which supports USDC on Solana, went live on November 2. Eligible US users can buy, hold, send and receive USDC through the Wallet app.
Sui’s gasless stablecoin transfer infrastructure went live on its mainnet in May 2026. The Sui Foundation says supported transfers require no network fee from the sender and do not require users to purchase SUI. Sui said its blockchain has processed more than $1 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume since August 2025, after native USDC was introduced in 2024 and later integrated with Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol.
Samsung is also considering broader stablecoin support. On November 5, Samsung Global Research managing director Park Hyun-soo said Korean won-denominated stablecoins could eventually be offered through Samsung Wallet if South Korea establishes an appropriate regulatory framework. Samsung has also discussed online and in-store stablecoin payments, while saying expansion into other markets depends on local rules.
