The collaboration allows businesses to manage wallet creation, transaction signing, and key management through software, removing the need for end-users to handle cryptographic keys. For developers, this means building financial experiences centered on XRP and Ripple’s dollar-backed RLUSD stablecoin becomes more accessible. Beyond retail applications, the infrastructure supports server-side wallets designed for AI agents to transact via protocols such as x402.
Markus Infanger, senior vice president of RippleX, noted that combining Privy’s tooling with the ledger’s fast settlement and low costs provides a scalable foundation for new financial products. This push toward automation is already visible on the network, where AI agents have processed 13 million payments, accounting for roughly 25% of total activity. The initiative follows Stripe’s acquisition of Privy, which previously provided wallet integration tools for platforms like OpenSea and Blackbird.
