Defense Contracts Tied to Trump Sons Top $6 Billion

The financial connections often run through 1789 Capital, a venture firm founded by pro-Trump donors that brought Donald Trump Jr. on as a partner in 2024. Recent federal awards include a multibillion-dollar agreement for Anduril Industries, in which the firm holds a significant stake. Smaller entities have also gained traction: Unusual Machines and Powerus secured government work shortly after bringing the brothers on as advisers or investors—firms that had never held prior federal contracts.

Other recipients include Vulcan Elements, which received a $620 million Pentagon loan, and Foundation Future Industries, a robotics startup that landed a $24 million contract after hiring Eric Trump as a chief strategy adviser. While critics label these outcomes as deep-seated corruption, a spokesperson for the brothers maintains their investment choices are independent and unrelated to their father's political office, dismissing the scrutiny as a distortion of standard business practice.
