The net asset value of regulated funds administered in the jurisdiction climbed 8.3 percent to $668.34 billion, with alternative asset classes dominating the landscape at 88 percent of the total. Private equity and venture capital remain the primary drivers, while hedge strategies experienced a notable 54 percent year-on-year surge. The Jersey Private Fund (JPF) regime, bolstered by 2025 regulatory updates, saw its registered count rise to 850. The removal of the 50-investor cap proved particularly effective, with 135 funds now operating under the expanded 'unlimited investors' category.
Assets under management for JPFs grew to $130.91 billion, a 15.2 percent increase, while real estate and hedge fund strategies within this segment grew by 23.8 and 22.8 percent respectively. Beyond funds, corporate activity also hit an all-time high, with 36,577 companies currently on the island's register. Jersey Finance CEO Joe Moynihan attributed this momentum to the jurisdiction's ability to offer sophisticated, bespoke structuring solutions that cater to evolving institutional and family office needs. He noted that the recent regulatory refinements have successfully attracted professional investors, validating the island's commitment to flexibility in a volatile global market.
