Between Sept. 21 and 27, the company secured 1,665 BTC at an average price of $85,681 per coin, pushing its total holdings to 847,666 BTC. This acquisition brings the aggregate cost of the firm’s Bitcoin stash to $63.95 billion. The purchase price sits roughly 2.7% above Bitcoin’s recent trading levels, which hovered near $83,401, placing the current market value of the holdings at approximately $70.7 billion.
To fund these moves, the company sold 1,469,165 MSTR common shares, netting $246.2 million. While $142.7 million went directly toward the Bitcoin purchase, the remainder, supplemented by $48.1 million from cash reserves, facilitated the STRC buybacks. This effort is part of an ongoing program to retire preferred shares while they trade below their $100 stated value. With $723.5 million still authorized for credit security repurchases and $6.02 billion in total USD assets, the firm maintains significant liquidity to navigate future market conditions.
