DBS and Avaloq Extend Partnership to Target Asian Wealth Growth

DBS and Avaloq Extend Partnership to Target Asian Wealth Growth

The memorandum of understanding focuses on three pillars: enterprise growth, co-innovation, and cross-functional capability building. This expansion arrives as the Asian market faces a critical bottleneck; while seven in 10 investors currently utilize professional wealth advisors, a significant portion of the remaining population expresses unmet demand for personalized guidance. The partnership seeks to bridge this divide by deploying Avaloq’s technology across broader business lines, effectively augmenting human advisors with advanced data tools.

Shee Tse Koon, head of consumer banking and wealth management at DBS, noted that the collaboration will co-create solutions tailored to the evolving needs of their customer base. Beyond platform integration, the firms plan to launch knowledge-sharing initiatives and specialized training programs. Avaloq CEO Martin Greweldinger emphasized that the move is designed to equip the next generation of wealth managers with the technical skills required for an increasingly AI-enabled industry, ultimately positioning both firms to capture a larger share of Asia’s growing investment market.
