The acquisition raises the combined stake of PetRie Beteiligungsgesellschaft and Dr. Peters to 26.41 percent. This move follows an August restructuring that saw the Hamburg-based Döhle Group take a nearly 10 percent interest formerly held by Hendrik Riehmer, alongside a minor stake acquisition by the Berenberg family.
Dr. Peters described the increased investment as a meaningful commitment to the 430-year-old institution, citing its blend of traditional stability and innovation. Beyond the ownership changes, the bank is preparing a formal transition of its legal status. This process aims to modernize governance and establish a robust supervisory board. Management confirmed that negotiations regarding a new permanent leadership team are currently underway.
