NEAR Protocol Integrates Ondo Finance for Tokenized US Stock Access

The collaboration enables users to hold or trade tokenized versions of major U.S. tech stocks and commodity funds, such as the Invesco QQQ Trust and iShares gold and silver trusts, directly through their existing near.com accounts. Rather than requiring manual bridge transfers, the NEAR Intents system utilizes a network of independent solvers to route requests across more than 30 blockchains, including Ethereum, Tron, and BNB Chain. This mechanism abstracts the technical complexity of cross-chain transactions, allowing investors to reach assets from the networks where they already store capital.

Despite the expanded reach, the service maintains strict geographic boundaries. Due to current regulatory restrictions and the lack of registration under the Securities Act of 1933, the product remains unavailable to U.S. persons. Ondo Finance, which reports over $1 billion in total value locked across its platform, continues to navigate complex international compliance requirements, with specific investor qualifications often mandated for users in jurisdictions like the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Singapore. While Ondo’s subsidiary, Oasis Pro Markets, is pursuing U.S. regulatory pathways through FINRA and SEC authorizations, this specific NEAR integration focuses on offshore availability.
