BitMart launches engagement portal as advisers review asset status

The new interface allows users to submit feedback and restructuring proposals, which will be evaluated by BitMart alongside its legal and financial advisers. The exchange clarified that the portal is not a mechanism for processing individual withdrawals; submitting a ticket will not alter the current status of any user account or locked assets. To maintain record integrity, customers must verify their submissions via a confirmation email sent from the company’s official Zendesk domain.

This development follows the September 9 appointment of Alvarez & Marsal, tasked with reviewing stakeholder claims and the exchange's overall financial health. BitMart previously initiated a phased shutdown in July, ending trading services on August 26. While the firm initially planned a long-term wind-down, it pivoted toward evaluating restructuring options and a potential phased restart of operations in August. With White & Case serving as restructuring counsel, the company intends to appoint an independent third party to oversee asset safekeeping. BitMart urged users to exercise caution, warning that the official portal is the only authorized channel and that staff will never request private keys or security credentials.
