The Greek branch, which received formal registration from the Bank of Greece, became operational yesterday. Lia Pittaouli leads the new office, reporting directly to Jules Moor, the CEO of Banque J Safra Sarasin (Luxembourg) SA. The bank intends to leverage its Luxembourg booking center to offer bespoke solutions to local families and institutions, emphasizing its long-standing focus on private wealth and sustainable investment strategies.
Jules Moor described the expansion as a confirmation of the group’s commitment to the region, positioning the firm to serve what he labeled a strategically important market. With over $460 billion in assets under management, the J Safra Sarasin Group currently operates in more than 35 locations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Pittaouli noted that the bank’s family-owned structure and 35-year history in sustainable finance serve as the primary pillars for its growth strategy in Greece.
