Managing over 77 billion pounds in alternative assets, Aberdeen is accelerating its digital distribution strategy. This move follows previous collaborations with Archax, including a 2023 initiative involving tokenized money market funds and the use of digital units as collateral for foreign exchange trades with Lloyds Banking Group.

Critics, including Algebra co-founder Vladimir Tikhomirov, caution that tokenization does not automatically resolve underlying liquidity constraints, highlighting a persistent tension between technological accessibility and the actual tradeability of the underlying assets.
