Solana Captures Lead in Real-World Asset Inflows

The influx, documented by the RWA Foundation using data from analytics platform RWA.xyz, highlights a growing preference for Solana among issuers of tokenized financial products. While Ethereum and Stellar saw marginal growth during the same period, other major networks including Avalanche and the XRP Ledger experienced net declines in their tracked asset totals. These figures track net changes in tokenized holdings—such as government bonds, private credit, and investment funds—rather than raw transaction volume.

Solana’s expansion is anchored by the integration of high-profile financial instruments. Products such as BlackRock’s BUIDL fund, Franklin Templeton’s BENJI token, and VanEck’s VBILL have utilized the network’s infrastructure to reach eligible institutional investors. Beyond Treasury-linked notes, the ecosystem has diversified through offerings from Ondo Finance and WisdomTree, which include tokenized equities and exchange-traded funds. Despite the growth, these assets remain distinct from permissionless crypto tokens; they are subject to strict eligibility, identity verification, and transfer controls enforced by regulated custodians. The sustainability of this trend now hinges on continued institutional adoption and the development of secondary markets for these tokenized instruments.
