GTA VI Leaker Linked to $350,000 Crypto Windfall

Grogan, who traced the movement of funds through various over-the-counter providers, noted that this is the first instance of a suspected hacker profiting solely through liquidity provision. Rather than offloading a large token allocation, the operator leveraged the high transaction volume triggered by each new leak to harvest fees from the decentralized exchange pool. While the wallet activity is linked to the CyberLeek alias that distributed the game footage, the controller’s legal identity remains unconfirmed.

The financial activity coincides with aggressive legal action from Take-Two Interactive. The parent company of Rockstar Games has secured federal subpoenas for Microsoft and Discord records, demanding identifiers, IP addresses, and registration data for accounts suspected of hosting or distributing the proprietary material. Both companies were ordered to produce the requested information by September 4. Rockstar has publicly characterized the leaks as heartbreaking, though the company has maintained its development schedule despite the unauthorized releases. While blockchain data reveals the path of the $350,000, it does not definitively prove the operator's role in the original breach or provide a clear path to prosecution without further evidence from the platform subpoenas.
