Bitcoin Realized Cap Surges by $4.6 Billion as Liquidity Returns

The spike in realized capitalization provides a fresh gauge of market activity, suggesting that capital is flowing into Bitcoin as coins move to new buyers at higher cost bases. According to CryptoQuant contributor Darkfost, this surge supports the recent price advance, providing a counter-narrative to earlier periods of stagnant growth. Despite the momentum, the analyst cautioned that the 30-day average growth rate remains at a modest 0.4%, preventing a definitive declaration of a sustained liquidity shift.

While the headline figure signals renewed interest, the metric does not account solely for new external capital. It also reflects activity from investors rebalancing their holdings or selling off assets at different cost bases, which generates new unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs). Market participants are looking toward U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, which attracted $2.57 billion over seven consecutive sessions, to provide a clearer picture of demand. While the rally benefited from a weaker U.S. dollar and broader fiscal policy shifts, the market now awaits consistent, multi-week growth in the realized cap to confirm a lasting change in the current cycle.
