Led by Mone Ota, the new operation functions as a bridge between Japanese clients and the firm’s Hong Kong headquarters. The office will handle client liaison and preliminary needs assessments, coordinating directly with FGA Trust’s broader team and external legal or tax advisors. By establishing a local, Japanese-language point of contact, the firm aims to simplify access for professional advisors and families navigating complex trust structures.
This expansion follows Bank of Japan data showing household financial assets reached ¥2,386 trillion—roughly $15 trillion—by the end of March 2026, marking a 7.1 percent year-on-year increase. While the Tokyo office facilitates engagement, all formal trust and corporate services remain anchored to FGA Trust’s Hong Kong-licensed entity, adhering to strict anti-money laundering and know-your-client regulatory frameworks.
