Leadership Shifts Across Wealth Management and Tech Firms

Offshore law firm Carey Olsen has elevated Laura Kearns to partner within its trusts and private wealth practice in Bermuda. Kearns, who joined the firm in 2022, specializes in complex trust establishment, restructurings, and estate planning. Keith Robinson, global head of the firm's trusts practice, noted that her promotion reflects both her technical expertise and her collaborative approach to client service.

In Switzerland, Avaloq has appointed Nidhi Singh as chief product and development officer. Based at the firm’s Zurich headquarters, Singh will oversee the global product roadmap and engineering functions as part of a leadership transition following the departure of Fabio Baj from the group executive board. Singh brings over two decades of experience, including a previous tenure as chief product officer at Charles River Development.

Meanwhile, in the UK, Rathbones has expanded its charities business development team with the appointment of Olivia McCormick and Clara Opoku as directors. McCormick joins from the Department for Business and Trade, bringing a background in investment consulting and stakeholder engagement, while Opoku moves from Cazenove Charities, where she served as an assistant portfolio manager. Reporting to Gemma Gooch, the pair will focus on driving investment growth for endowment and foundation clients.
