LGT Profit Climbs as Assets Hit Record SFr412 Billion

The bank’s total assets under management reached SFr412.6 billion by June 30, fueled by SFr12.3 billion in net new asset inflows. This represents an annualized growth rate of 6.4 percent, complemented by favorable currency effects and market performance. While income from services climbed 7 percent to SFr1 billion, net interest income saw a slight decline of 2 percent, settling at SFr156.6 million.

Operating efficiency improved during the period, with the cost-income ratio tightening to 73.3 percent from 76.8 percent at the close of 2025. Total operating costs rose marginally by 2 percent to SFr1.09 billion, reflecting a headcount increase of 62 staff members. Chairman Prince Max von und zu Liechtenstein noted that the firm is now prioritizing the consolidation of its global footprint and the integration of its international platform following years of targeted expansion.

The group remains cautious regarding the second half of the year, citing unpredictable geopolitical and financial environments. These figures arrive alongside recent strategic moves, including the acquisition of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia's Private Advice business and the expansion of LGT Capital Partners into the US via the venture capital team of Sapphire Partners.
