Whitechain pivots to distribution-focused Ethereum Layer 2

The project, which operates on the OP Stack, seeks to bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and market adoption. By integrating with the financial reach of W Group and WhiteBIT, the network provides developers with access to a pre-existing user base rather than requiring them to build traffic from scratch. Volodymyr Nosov, founder and president of W Group, noted that while the industry has mastered complex infrastructure, superior technology does not guarantee user adoption. The new model intends to flip this dynamic by embedding distribution power directly into the network architecture.

Beginning August 18, the platform will open its public testnet and launch a series of support tracks for developers. These include a Builder Program offering up to $300,000 in funding for early-stage teams, alongside strategic support for established protocols looking to migrate liquidity or expand their reach. As the network moves toward its mainnet launch, developers will gain access to native primitives, including a decentralized exchange, an oracle, and a bridge, all built on the established OP Stack tooling.
