Fireblocks Hires Former SEC Chair Roisman to Lead Regulatory Strategy

Roisman joins the leadership team immediately, bringing a background that spans federal oversight and private sector advocacy. Before this appointment, he co-led the digital assets practice at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and served as chief counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. His remit at Fireblocks involves navigating a shifting international landscape where governments are formalizing rules for stablecoins and tokenized assets.

Fireblocks CEO Michael Shaulov noted that the hire is intended to bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and legislative requirements. As banks and asset managers move money market funds and private credit onto blockchain networks, they face mounting compliance demands. With over $14 trillion in digital asset transactions processed through its platform, Fireblocks is positioning itself to influence the policy discussions currently shaping the U.S. market structure, including pending legislation that would delineate the roles of the SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
