Flanagan Attacks GOP Rival Over ICE Stance

Flanagan’s critique centered on Tafoya’s campaign launch video, which featured footage of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents patrolling city streets. The Republican nominee recently claimed the agency treated children well during these enforcement actions, a statement Flanagan countered by citing the case of Liam Ramos. In January, the five-year-old was taken by agents while walking home from school and detained at the Dilley facility in Texas, where family members reported he fell ill from spoiled food before his release in February.

When pressed on Republican claims regarding healthcare fraud in Minnesota, Flanagan pivoted to target Donald Trump’s record. She argued that GOP efforts to center the campaign on fraud are a distraction from the president’s own actions, including the removal of 17 inspectors general tasked with federal oversight. Flanagan further accused the administration of pardoning dozens of white-collar criminals linked to systemic theft from Medicaid and Medicare programs.
