Congressional scrutiny is also mounting. Rep. Jamie Raskin, the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, has pledged to investigate the origins of the prosecution, aiming to uncover who suppressed evidence and why the government pursued a case that lacked factual merit. Meanwhile, Trump continues to insist on Hearn’s guilt, citing a witness who claimed to see the athlete damaging the pool’s coating. Hearn's lawyers have dismissed these allegations as harassment, noting that they submitted photographic evidence months ago proving the damage existed well before their client reached the site.
