Binance to Drop Six Tokens as Asset Review Triggers Delistings

Binance to Drop Six Tokens as Asset Review Triggers Delistings

The delisting process begins well before the August 17 deadline. Binance Futures will halt new position openings on August 7, with automatic settlement of existing contracts scheduled for 09:00 UTC that same day. Margin borrowing, loans, and payment services will face staggered closures throughout the week, requiring users to reconcile accounts before the final spot pairs are removed.

Binance did not provide specific justifications for each token, citing a broad review framework that evaluates liquidity, network safety, and regulatory compliance. Notably, four of the affected assets—PIVX, PYR, VANRY, and ACX—had been under monitoring tags, which flagged them for potential volatility and risk. These tags necessitated periodic user risk quizzes, serving as a precursor to the eventual removal from the exchange’s ecosystem.

VANRY holders face a unique challenge, as Binance confirmed it will not support the token’s migration to the Base network. Participants must utilize the project’s official portal to handle the 1:1 swap themselves, using Binance only as a conduit for withdrawals before the October 17 cutoff. While Binance will allow asset withdrawals for two months following the delisting, the exchange warned that it does not guarantee the conversion of remaining balances into stablecoins after that window, urging users to act before the platform limits access.
