Upbit Adds CFX as Conflux Gains Korean Market Access

Trading for CFX began at 16:00 Korea Standard Time, following a period of anticipation that saw the token’s price climb roughly 8.5% and its 24-hour volume surge by 93% to $13 million. Upbit cautioned that liquidity requirements could force delays, emphasizing that only deposits via Conflux eSpace—the network’s Ethereum-compatible environment—are currently supported. Users attempting to transfer assets through the native Core Space or other unsupported networks face complex, time-consuming recovery procedures.

To prevent immediate price swings, the exchange prohibited buy orders for the first five minutes of trading and restricted sell orders priced more than 10% below the previous closing price. For the first two hours, the platform restricted transactions to limit orders only. While the listing provides a significant footprint in the Korean market, historical data from previous Upbit additions suggests that initial volume spikes do not always translate into sustained long-term price performance. Traders are now monitoring whether the increased accessibility will generate lasting demand beyond the initial listing hype.
