Bitget Wallet pivots to tokenized rewards for cardholders

Cardholders can select one of seven assets for their rewards, including Bitcoin, Tether Gold, USDC, or tokenized shares of Nvidia, Tesla, Alphabet, and an S&P 500-linked product. The base reward rate sits at 2%, with a "booster" tier offering up to 3% for qualifying users who meet specific monthly spending thresholds. Rewards become eligible for redemption seven days after a transaction, provided the user has accumulated at least one USDC worth of value.

Bitget Wallet utilizes xStocks to issue these tokenized equities, which are backed by securities held in custody. While this allows exposure to traditional markets, the firm emphasizes that these tokens are not identical to conventional brokerage shares. Investor protections, liquidity, and trading rights remain tethered to the issuer and the user's specific jurisdiction.

Access to the program requires the latest version of the Bitget Wallet app. Participation remains subject to regional availability, identity verification, and potential fees, including foreign exchange charges. The company reported a significant increase in card usage, noting monthly payment volumes reached $656 million in May 2026, up from $271 million the previous year. These figures remain unaudited, and the shift to Assetback will serve as a practical test of whether users prefer automated crypto-asset accumulation over standard cash payouts.
