Pending regulatory approval from FINMA, the merger integrates bvo capital’s specialized global equity expertise into J Stern & Co’s existing platform. The combined entity will maintain a Zurich headquarters while utilizing the former bvo capital office in Geneva to solidify its regional presence. Cedric Coignard, CEO of bvo capital, will join J Stern & Co as a partner and member of the investment committee, alongside partner Laurent Pallanca.
Following the transaction, the firm’s flagship World Stars Global Equity strategy, which accounts for over $2.3 billion in assets, will continue to be managed by Christopher Rossbach and Katerina Kosmopoulou. Management confirmed that the core investment methodology and research-heavy approach remain unchanged. For J Stern & Co, the acquisition marks a strategic pivot toward inorganic growth, building on a lineage that dates back to 1805. The firm, currently managing assets for the Stern dynasty, operates globally with offices in London, New York, Zurich, and Malta.
