Troy Jackson Gains Lead Over Senator Susan Collins in New Maine Poll

Jackson’s momentum follows a decisive sweep of 16 county-level nominating meetings, where he captured 478 of 500 available delegates. Following the withdrawal of former candidate Graham Platner, Jackson consolidated party support, securing endorsements from former rivals including Secretary of State Shenna Bellows and epidemiologist Nirav Shah. Since entering the race just over two weeks ago, his campaign has raised $1 million from 25,000 donors.

Throughout his campaign, Jackson has aggressively challenged the senator’s political identity, repeatedly criticizing her public expressions of concern regarding the Trump administration’s agenda. He points to Collins’ tenure as chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, highlighting her support for funding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and her recent role in committee hearings regarding military spending. Collins, in turn, has labeled Jackson as being aligned with democratic socialists, a characterization the former state Senate president rejects, describing his platform as a commitment to working-class interests and public services.
