Robinhood Chain Hits $9B in Trading Volume Weeks After Launch

The network has rapidly scaled since its July 1 debut, processing roughly 6 million transactions daily for over 250,000 active users. According to a FalconX research primer, this pace has allowed the chain to surpass Coinbase’s Base on several key metrics. Currently, the ecosystem holds $431 million in total value locked and maintains a stablecoin market capitalization nearing $400 million, driven largely by Paxos-issued USDG and Ethena’s USDe.

Despite the network's strategic positioning as infrastructure for tokenized financial products, adoption of real-world assets remains in its infancy. Robinhood’s tokenized stock offerings currently hold approximately $14 million in value, trailing behind established competitors like Ondo and xStocks. To bridge this gap, Robinhood is leveraging its existing retail base of 28 million users and introducing transferable stock tokens that function as ERC-20 assets, allowing them to interact directly with decentralized applications.

Lending has emerged as a primary capital driver, with Morpho-powered vaults reaching a market size of $280 million by mid-July. Robinhood Earn distinguishes its lending products by incorporating insurance coverage through Lloyd’s of London and RELM, a feature not currently present in similar offerings from Coinbase. However, analysts at FalconX noted that the current 7% annual percentage yield on these products is heavily reliant on incentive campaigns. These subsidies are expected to bridge the gap between vault yields and advertised returns until deposits reach the $2 billion threshold.
