Emily Burgess Takes Helm at Bentley Trust Malta

Burgess brings over 25 years of experience to the role, having built a career across the UK, Malta, the UAE, and Turkey. Since joining the firm seven years ago as a trust manager, she has served as a director and developed a deep specialization in the trust and fiduciary sector. She holds an MBA from Liverpool John Moores University and maintains full membership in the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Her predecessor, Malcolm Becker, departs the chief executive position he held since 2003. Becker remains a significant figure in the local financial landscape, having established the STEP Malta branch in 2007 and chaired the BR Trust Group for the past decade. His legacy includes organizing international industry conferences and maintaining an active seat on the local STEP executive committee.
