Raz Segal, an associate professor of Holocaust and genocide studies at Stockton University, characterizes the situation as a "textbook case of genocide." The signatories are calling on the United Nations and the International Criminal Court to launch immediate investigations. They urge the international community to fulfill its legal obligation to prevent such crimes, arguing that the current bombardment and restriction of life-sustaining conditions are conducted with clear genocidal intent.
