The administration’s decision to terminate the SAVE student loan program, coupled with the removal of renewable energy tax credits, has contributed to a 6.4% spike in average utility bills. While the White House focuses on the expansion of energy-intensive AI data centers and military protection, 54% of the public reports that neither major political party offers a credible solution to their financial instability.
A divide has emerged between the president’s rhetoric and recent electoral trends. Trump dismissed democratic socialist candidates as communists, asserting there is no public appetite for their platforms. However, victories for figures like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani suggest a growing movement.
