Citi Wealth has officially named Michael Yannell as its new head of hedge funds for investment solutions. Yannell, who rejoined the bank in 2019, has spent the last several months serving in the role on an interim basis. His tenure at the firm is underpinned by two decades of experience in alternative investments, where he focused on building a platform of directional and diversifying offerings for the bank’s client base.
Simultaneously, St. James’s Place is expanding its leadership team with the appointment of Chris Teschmacher as director of the CIO office. Joining later in July, Teschmacher will report to Chief Investment Officer Justin Onuekwusi. His mandate includes overseeing the evolution of the firm’s investment proposition and refining governance processes. Teschmacher arrives from Legal & General Asset Management, where he previously led the asset allocation investment specialist team. His addition follows a string of recent high-profile hires at SJP, including Lea Blinoff and Anu Sindwani, aimed at reinforcing a firm that currently oversees more than £216 billion in funds under management.
