PIMCO has introduced the GIS Global Bond Opportunities Fund (GBOF), a flexible strategy designed to maneuver through volatile interest rate environments and divergent fiscal policies. Unlike traditional benchmark-focused products, the fund leverages a $150 billion platform to allocate across currencies and credit sectors. Managed by Andrew Balls, Sachin Gupta, Lorenzo Pagani, and Martin Svorc, the fund is now available in major European markets, including the UK, Switzerland, and Germany.
WisdomTree is targeting income-seeking investors with its new Global High Dividend UCITS ETF (WDIV), which carries a 0.35 per cent expense ratio. Moving away from standard market-cap weighting, the strategy uses a proprietary screening process to filter for quality and momentum while selecting the 300 highest-yielding companies. Pierre Debru, head of research for Europe, noted that the approach aims to mitigate the risks associated with yield-chasing by prioritizing fundamental discipline.
Meanwhile, Pictet Asset Management is scaling its AI-driven equity approach with a new range of active ETFs listed on XETRA and Euronext. These products, including world and regional equity exposures, utilize a proprietary model that previously powered a Luxembourg-domiciled fund to a 50 per cent return since its March 2024 inception. The firm intends for these funds to outperform passive benchmarks by approximately 1 per cent annually, maintaining a beta of 1.0 while utilizing quarterly AI training cycles to refine stock selection.
